A new program has been created through the ELCA focusing on the gifts that people with disabilities can offer congregations and communities. Martin Luther Church was given the honor to be the first church to host a celebration of those people who are definitely abled. On Sunday, November 11th, we were given an opportunity to see what life is like to those that are mentally and physically challenged. During the 9:00 Sunday School Hour, youth and adults alike were welcome to partake in obstacle courses and other activities to help gain empathy for the situations experienced by the definitely abled.
