Ash Wednesday was observed March 9th at Martin Luther Church with the Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion. Lenten Services will be held alternating between Zion and Martin Luther. This year, Zion will host three of the five Lenten services with Martin Luther hosting two. We will be having a Lenten Series based on Hebrews 11 and the Faith of our Ancestors. Pastors from St. Matthew's & St. John's Stone Church, Hickory Grove, and St. James will be the pastors for the alternating nights.
Martin Luther Church will be designating 2011 Lenten Service offerings to the Sudanese ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church in Omaha.
