On Sunday, April 14th we were joined by Gabriel and Rachel Chase who have served on a Mercy Ship. Mercy Ships is a global charity which has operated a fleet of ships in developing nations since 1978. The ship is a traveling medical center and comes to the aid of needy people in developing nations. All surgeries to repair and help those in need are free. Gabe serves as a ship security officer. Their family and the Mercy Ship they serve on will be in port at Guinea and then the Congo Republic.
Martin Luther Church selects various Mission Focus areas throughout the year. Mercy Ships will be this next quarter's focus and giving will be directed towards that focus.
