Senior Reception

Martin Luther Church has two seniors graduating from high school this year.  On May 12, 2012, Anna Kuhl will graduate from Johnson County Central High School and Ashley Andersen will graduate from Johnson-Brock High School.  In addition, Myrthe Kamoen was recognized as she has been a part of the MLC youth during her stay as a foreign exchange student.   MLC held a Senior Reception Sunday on April 29th.  The young ladies each chose which blanket would be theirs to take with them on their future journeys from the many blankets the "Sewing Group" of Martin Luther Church had made this past year.

Before the they were presented blankets from the MLC Sewing Group, the students shared with the congregation some of their future plans.  Ashley plans on attending Metro Community College in Omaha to obtain her beginning classes in Media, Audio and Visual Communications before transferring on to an undecided out-of-state college to finish her bachelors degree.  Anna will be attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a Pre-Veterinarian major.  Myrthe has attended Johnson Brock High School during the second semester having arrived before Christmas.  Her host family while in Nebraska was Jeff, Lori and Michelle Broady.  Myrthe will be leaving Nebraska for her home in the Netherlands in late May and will complete her high school education there.

After the church service, the Women of Martin Luther Church hosted a reception for the graduating seniors and our foreign exchange student in the church basement.
