Mission Focus for the 4th Quarter

The Mission Committee selected the Sudanese Nile Church which is linked with Trinity Lutheran Church in Omaha as our 4th quarter mission focus.  Gifts/donations to support this Sudanese mission will be collected throughout the fourth quarter.  The regular church offering on November 27th, was designated to support this special ministry.

As a special mission activity for the year, Vicar John Badeng and members of the Sudanese Nile Church joined MLC in regular Sunday worship on November 27th.  Vicar Badeng shared a presentation during the sermon and members of their church shared with us music and songs. 

Members of the Martin Luther Mission Committee, Ginny Baack, Nancy Eggers, and Jenny Moerer were commended for organizing the special service.

After the church service, the Women of the ELCA hosted their annual Advent Dinner, serving up baked potatoes with a variety of toppings as well as salads and desserts.  We were honored to have our special guests of the day join us for food and social time.
