The Johnson Area Community Bible School was held at Martin Luther Church 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on 3rd through June 7th. The theme for the VBS was "Kingdom Rock" and the motto for the kids was "Stand Strong for God".
Area pastors participating giving the day's Bible stories were Pastor Larry Tolen, Pastor Mike Carr, Pastor Bruce Berggren, Pastor Catherine Burroughs, and Steve Epler. Approximately 75 children, preschool to 6th grade participated in the week's activities. Forty-three volunteers from area churches helped make the week go smoothly running the Music, Imagination Station, Chatter's Theatre, King's Kitchen, Tournament Games as well as being leaders and helpers for the children. Kristine Ideus of MLC's Parish Education Committee was the Bible School Director. On Friday, June 7th, the VBS children shared what they had learned in an evening program for family and friends to enjoy.
