Christmas Eve at Martin Luther Church

Christmas Eve Service at Martin Luther Church
was held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 24.

The Sunday School students presented a play entitled
"Miracle on Main Street" -
about a group of kids who worked to save the community
Christmas pageant after the Mayor had cancelled it because of
political reasons.  The kids stood up for what they believe -
Christmas is the birth of Jesus, our Messiah.  Now that's a miracle!

The Preschool, (l to r) Ayla E, Mason O, Addie G, Reese G, Jenna H, Daley P, and Rylie B, present a "Shining Star".

During the play the carolers, (l to r) Ethan B, Dylan R, Aiden O, Kade D, Ryan B, Kolt D, Zach O, Easton D, Cassie R, Allie G, Kyra D, and Madeline H, go caroling throughout the community to convince the the townspeople to save the pageant.

The mayor, Josh A, announces to the carolers (all turning toward mayor);  and to pageant director, Erin B (standing); and other pageant kids Erika D and Michelle B (back row seated) that the pageant would have to be cancelled.

Zach O, soloist for song, "I Believe", and the other carolers go door to door in the town to convince the townspeople to save the pageant.

Allie G is the soloist for the caroler's song, "Go Light your World".

Kindergarten thru 2nd Grade (standing on stage) present "Five Little Candles".  (l to r) Gatlin G, Kolbi D, MaKenna C, Christian H, Taryn O, and Sloan P.

When the Mayor finally changes his mind, the community pageant is presented.  Nativity participants are Angels: (far left) Cassie R, (and far right) Michelle B, Allie G and Madeline H; Shepherds: (standing)  Kolt D, Dylan R, Kade D, Ryan B; Wisemen: (kneeling back) Zach O, Aiden O, Easton D; and (kneeling front) Joseph: Ethan B and Mary: Kyra D.
