Mission Focus for 2nd and 3rd Quarter

The Mission Committee has selected the ELCA's Disaster Response fund as our 2nd and 3rd quarter benevolence project.  The ELCA's Disaster Response fund fulfills two of our goals for this year, which are to support a state mission project (the local flood disaster) and a national mission project (the Midwest tornado victims).  Our benevolence gifts to the ELCA Disaster Response will be designated for the "U.S. Severe Storms".  These gifts will be used by the ELCA 100% in response to these disasters.  We will continue to collect special benevolence for the "U.S. Severe Storms" through the end of September.

                                             Use the love Your Spirit kindles
                                             Still to save and make us whole.

                                              As we worship, grant us vision,
                                              Till Your love's revealing light,
                                              In its height and depth and greatness,
                                              Dawns upon our quickened sight,
                                              Making known the needs and burdens
                                              Your compassion bids us bear,
                                              Stirring us to tireless striving,
                                              Your abundant life to share.
