The Sewing Ladies reported that 110 quilts were made for Lutheran World Relief this year.  They were displayed on the pews on November 8th.  Lots of time and loving stitches went into each and everyone of those 110 quilts.

Pictured above working on quilts are (From top section and down):
Marcille Bohling, Joan Bohling, Arlene Schutte, Sharon Oestmann, Laura Ottemann, and (again) Joan Bohling

The ladies usually meet on Mondays starting sometime in September or October.  These pictures were taken November 9th, the day the quilts shown on the pews above were boxed and prepared for shipment to Lutheran World Relief.  As far as sewers, some days there are more and some days there are less so the pictures taken this day don't necessarily show everyone that worked on the quilts throughout the year.  Generally, their numbers are down from just a few years ago.  They would welcome anyone everyone that might want to join in the task!

  1. These quilts are wonderful. You ladies should be proud to know that two of your quilts have been to Iraq (twice each with Nathan and myself) and one is at an undisclosed location with a good friend of ours from the Academy who is now a Navy SEAL.
