Ms. Carolyn Simonds is a pastoral candidate who visited Martin Luther Church and assisted in the May 31st service. A social time before and after church was held so that members could visit with Ms. Simonds a bit. Unfortunately, we received word that Ms. Simonds enjoyed her visit here but that her desire was to remain a bit closer to the east coast.
Call committee members Doyle Rippe, Chairman; Lois (Larry) Bohling; Jeff Broady; Norma Speckmann, Tyler Bohling, Phyllis Davis, and Nancy Eggers will continue on with the search for a pastor. Our next best chance of getting a candidate would probably be next spring as a new class of graduates are assigned to the Nebraska Synod.
